Alves Unwanted Barca, Will Start New Search Club
Barcelona – Barcelona has not entered into negotiations regarding a contract extension Dani Alves. Agent Alves judge that his client no longer wants Barca and ready to find a new club.
Brazilian international right-back will be full duty at the Camp Nou at the end of the 2014-15 season. If not immediately extended, Alves will be a free agent in the summer.
Since imported to Barca in the 2008-09 season, Alves has made more than 300 appearances with 20 goals accounted for. 31-year-old footballer was also helping the club won four league champions titlel, two Copa del Rey, two Champions League.
The player’s agent, Dinora Santana, deplored the attitude of Barca. Clearly, Alves is now open to any club option.
“They have not contacted us,” said Santana told Cadena SER. “I mean reticence that means they do not want Dani Alves, so we will start looking for a new club.”
“We will not wait for Barcelona. Alves has spent seven seasons here and he always acted professionally for this,” he continued.
“Barcelona does not have a new director of football during this month and Alves is now free to negotiate with any club,” Santana straightforward.
